Yamoto 150 Issues
#1
Hey Fellas,
HELP ME PLEASE!!!
I bought a Yamoto 150 for my daughter to ride a few months ago. Putting around the house everything seemed to be fine. We took a trip up north about an hour and a half away last weekend to do some riding, and all started out ok. About 2 or so hours into the riding, the 150 gave up on us. We towed it back to camp, and tried to get it restarted, but were not able to. The area we were riding in was very dusty, so I figured I would check the air filter, that was no fun, but to my suprise after opening the box, Fuel poured ot of it. Lots of fuel! I cleaned out the air box, and dried the air filter, re-assembled the bike, and was able to get it running. It did not idle well, but would clean up at higher throttle. I rode it for about 5 minutes or so, and it seemed to be ok, except for having to keep a high idle. I walked away from the bike for 10 minutes and was unable to get it started again. We left it alone all night and returned to it the next day. The bike started right up, but it would not let me touch the throttle without dying. I let it idle for a few minutes, and the same result. Eventually I was able to get the bike to clean up, and rode it for 10 minutes when it acted like it ran out of gas. I checked the fuel cut off and the fuel was on, I had flow to the carb, but the bike was super hard to start. After I got it started it would not let me give it any throttle without dying. The bike will start right up, but will not idle, and will die if I try to give it any throttle at all.
Anyone else have their Yamoto 150 flood the airbox with fuel, or have these same symptoms?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Sounds like the jets are clogged. And the fuel filling up may have been a stuck float from the same crap that clogged the main jet. This happened to out JM150. It would idle fine but giving any throttle would kill it. I took the carb apart and it was very restricted. I cleaned the jets and carb and all has been fine. Not sure if yoyu have a fuel filter or not. If not I would get one. Try cleaning the carb then let us know what happened.
