Default chain width

what is the chain with on the 250 i have to order a new one cuss i have a smaller shock on my quad now whial im weightin for a new shock and i put the new sproket on and the chain was to long, so i took it to have it cut i was told i needed a new one cuss links where stiff when i got home it was to short and i didnt take in to consider atoin the stock sized shock.... im so stupid...lol and so the guy has to order me a new chain[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img]..... dont know how to spell width or what ever i suck at spelling

before ording a new chain take the old chain soak it overnite in oil, as long as the chain isn't streight out this should work, also if you cut the chain to short you can buy a other master link at your local atv parts store and add some links from the chain that was cut off

no im gunna juat buy a new chain i was told that it was worn and redy fo a new one

Do a search. I believe it's a DID 428-120 chain

i think it is a 420- h or somethin on the raceway website or somethin

It's a 428 pitch chain and you need 120 links

no wonder you have chain problems if the jetmoto uses a small 428 chain, most almost all chinese and japanese 250's use a 520 or a 530 chain, chainese usally takes the 530 chain, the 50-110 use the 428 chain

Yup. The 428 is STUPID on this thing. It should be a bigger chain. However, the DID chain has been reported to last forever on this quad (it's very light), it's just the stock chain is a peice of crap. It won't last more than 30 hours IMHO.

No, Jetmotoracer, you don't actually use all 120 links. You have to cut a couple off to get it to fit. I've not done it yet because I'm waiting on my new rear sprocket.

how many????? my parents yelled at me cuss i messed my chain up [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img] it was 10$ to have 1 link cut!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and 30 $ for a chain breaker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!... there insane
