well now the bat reads 12v and reads 13v when the quad is reved up but lol cooling fan turns when startor is used then stops when you let go of the button so more wire searching lol
This sounds like progress.
After you get that new battery installed be sure to test the charging system to see if it is working. If the charging system is not working, and you aren't religious about using the external charger to keep the battery topped off, you will quickly have a third bad battery.
