Here in Japan, it's simply called the UR50. The different names in different countries made it really hard to track down a parts list.

Wow...I never noticed the exhaust in the parts list...it's so different than the one this has. I see your point with thinking it's aftermarket. I just never imagined an aftermarket exhaust getting to this point (rust/decay).

Just wanted to give an update. I found a local shop that sells a myriad of parts for bikes and scooters. Was able to get a #100 and #105 main jet and a #45 pilot jet, so those are ready to go.

Last week I tore the buggy down. I spent last weekend making a sandblasting cabinet in my open basement and everyday except for one this week sandblasting the frame, upper/lower arms, almost every metal part that could be removed from the frame and the clutch/variator housing.

This is it, in bits and pieces:

As you can see, the frame was in nasty condition:

Clutch/variator housing prior to blasting:

This is what it looks like, now...ready for reassembly:

And the housing:

Clutch and variator installed:

It's not perfect, but I'm satisfied. Again, considering I started with this:

I'll start putting the whole thing back together tomorrow if it's not raining.

Nice work man. Showing a lot of love for this little quad. I too am surprised that motor didn't just blow up without oil in the gas. I've heard lot's of horror stories of this happening. I too disabled the oil injection and now use pre-mix in my sons quad. Except I put a sticker right by the gas cap to put only pre-mix in. Keep up the good work.

Thanks. I just woke up...my son and I are about to go outside and start putting it together. You brought up one of my next questions...pre-mix. I've been seeing a lot of 32:1. What would you recommend?

32:1 is a good mixture. Plenty of oil. That's what I use on all my quads. My son and I have KTM Dirtbikes and they run lean at 40:1
