Throttle Wide open on Start up? Need HELP!

Yes, rev up a little bit. Check the title dooder, it says WOT. I've tuned a lot of carbs in my day, just play with the mixture screw will raise or lower the revs, yes, but not enough to bring it through the entire range of throttle. The only way it goes to wot from the mixture being lean is something holding the slide up. Think stuck slide, cable, idle screw set to far in, debris, etc. All physical obstructions. Come on, Like I was asserting that af mixture wouldn't change how an engine runs at all. My previous posts said anything but. Obviously it can change how an engine runs, but we were talking about a very specific set of circumstances. Show me an example in which turning the af mixture screw alone, not the idle screw and with a perfectly functioning slide will cause an engine to go WOT. Not it revs up a little bit, WOT.

Oh and as far as stopping it, i did. That douchebag is on my ignore list now. I gave a very well reasoned answer using actual logic and MPDano decided to start throwing insults. Not me. I guess I insulted his intelligence by pointing out his argumentative flaws. Here's another one since he doesn't seem to know how a carburator works. Remember we are talking about wide open here, not a few revs. First, the idle circuit, midrange, then mains. You have the idle that is controlled by the mixture screw. Then you have the needle valve position controlling midrange. Then the main Jet controlling wot. Unless something is lifting the slide, and thus the needle out of the main, (slide all the way down with no obstructions) then both the needle valve and the mains are completely blocked. Which means that with a properly moving (and adjusted) slide, the highest that a lean af will get you is 25% throttle since that is what the idle jet controls up to.

Do not listen to that idiot. What he doesn't seem to realize is that if his intake seal was causing his carb slide to stick open, it was a physical obstruction and not the vacuum causing it to somehow stay open. Sooo, check for physical obstructions, a vacuum leak by itself will not cause your engine to go wot. Despite what that asshat said.
