Avanti 125CC Help Please!!
#1
So I just got a used 4 wheeler yesturday and the guy tells me this about it -
"Been lowered an some kind of reared idk, but needs cable for the clutch an throttle an gas needs hooked up"
Get it here and no battery wiring harness looks about shot - plugs still good though. NO KEY "supposedly not stolen" Tried the kick start - It sounds good it has compression at least, and it will shift. I don't know where to start on this thing PLEASE PLEASE help. How do I know what I need to buy for it and what parts match up? I've seen on Amazon already that they have a large selection of parts. Just need to figure out what I need and what I dont. Carb looks REALLY dirty though.

First thing first.
1) Verify spark. Pull plug out and put the plug back on wire and ground the plug. Have someone kick it over and verify you got spark on the spark plug.
2) Clean that carb out. Remove the bowl and use some carb cleaner to clean out all the small orifices and jets.
3) Buy that clutch cable if it needs it.
4) Key is usually just an on/off. You can just put the two wires behind the switch together for now.
5) Buy a compression tester from harbor freight or equiv. Eventhough you felt compression, it may not be enough.
