Default tao tao

I bought a tao tao 110 and 125 utility both full auto. The 110 pulls my 200 lbs great totally impressed! The 125 will barley start to move on a slight grade with out pushing with my legs? Is there a restricter on it?

They are geared the same, but the 125 most likely has larger tires. You need to change the sprockets on the 125cc unit. Whygostock has smaller front sprocket and larger rear sprockets. This is pretty common with Chinese made ATVs. Good news it is an easy fix.

My 250cc Joyner buggy was doing the same thing. Ended up being my Rectifier wasn't working correctly. You can do a voltage check on them to make sure they are working. I believe it was 12 to 14 volts was good, anything below or above that was bad. Replaced mine as it was showing over 20 and got my power back.

There could be other things too but I would start with what you got before re-gearing.

I did think of changing the sprockets and it does have bigger tires and that would help I'm sure thanks?. It will rip your arms off in reverse but barely move in forward!

How many teeth are on the rear sprocket? Ebay is about the cheapest place to get parts for TaoTao quads. There are parts available at some chinese quad suppliers but you can get the same parts for less on ebay.
