Good afternoon chinese ATV owners, I wanted to let you know of some strange issues I found on a new purchase TaoTao 150. First was an extreme rich issue. It was not the spark plug as the sales company told me, but the fuel vacuum auto shut off valve. Vacuum side of valve was leaking fuel into intake. Removed valve and pluged intake/carb vacuum ports, ran fuel hose from petcock to carb. Atv started and ran good. Next issue was NO electrical power. Sales company said it had to be the fuse on the battery ignition lead. It turned out to be a break (open) in ignition (+) wire from battery to the fuse. Wire break (open) was internal and not visually noticeable, multimeter was only way to find. Replaced wire and atv ran well. These issues took some time to troubleshoot so hopefully this helps. Knowing the strange issues that come with these atvs would help save people a lot of time and effort. Also check and recheck every nut and bolt for proper torque. These will loosen with one trip around the yard also never neglect the chain or it will fail when your far from home. Hope this helps, Unzzyracing.
