Hello everyone, my kids have a 110cc Chinese atv with small problem hoping I can get some help with. So I bought this quad used for around $350, runs strong and pretty reliable thus far. My problem is I have been using a jumpstarter box to start the atv and that's getting old fast. I'm no mechanic but very fast at learning and good with my hands. I have been looking to replace the entire wire harness, but decided to put a new battery in first. In doing so, as soon as i connect the wires, the quad tries to fire up. My problem is I'm not sure which harness to buy, or if that's even the problem. The wire harness on the atv has a 6 coil pole, with a plug coming from the stator instead of the individual wires. The closest ones looks wise, are for 125cc, does this make a difference? I'm not sure the brand, but it does have a tag with model and vin number. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction, to either to right harness or the remedy to the wire problem. All help is greatly appreciated, and thanx in advance
i would diagnose this one first... when you disconnect the push button and the key does it try to start still, Plug one in at a time and see the results.. Im thinking you have a stuck switch or faulty starter solenoid.. Its also pretty quick and easy to pull the plastics off and start tracing the wire harness for issues...
