Default Semiauto clutch help

Hello, new here. My 1st post. So, I have an 08 baja dr70. 72cc pitbike. Semiauto 4 speed. Just replaced the clutch bell housing and now it won't go past 1st gear. I've adjusted the adjusting screw every which way you can imagine. All the way out all the way in. Quarter turns half turns etc. Still the same. 1st and neutral only. So Ive taken it apart umpteen million times checking and rechecking and nothing. Everything looks good except behind the main gear are the arms of the clutch. And at the end of the arm are 2 small legs that catch onto a small round piece with small vertical pegs. The arms pegs catch the round things pegs and that's what shifts it in and out of gear. But the arm is dropping about a 1/4 inch trying to come out of first and it totally misses. And airball everytime. I don't see any adjustment for the arm either. No YouTube vidz that are detailed enough that I could find. Before I replaced the clutch it was shifting just fine. I only replaced it because I got a really good deal on the new one. Any ideas will go a long way. Thank you in advance
