Maier is direct fit and comes in a handful of colors (yellow/red/green/white/black/pink)...they are a bit pricy but way less than factory. There is also the Chinese variants, they are much less expense but not a direct fit (small modification)...plastics take a beating...so anything used will be just that...very used...I have a yellow set that is in decent shape (see avatar)...

Thanks for the info. I did look into the Maier panels. It's a budget build and $450 just isn't in the budget. I was hoping to find a very nice used set. If yours aren't bad, can you please send me some pics and a price? Thanks.

Here are the pics...I would consider these very good used condition as they are 1988 plastics with only one minor flaw...there are no deep gouges so these could easily be brought back to a high gloss luster. There is also only a small tear in the graphic as well. Hard to price these as there are really none out there (other than new/replacement) to compare too. I'd probably want $200+shipping or something close to it...

Thank you for the pics...I agree...there are no other used plastics out there I could compare to either. Yours look much better than mine. While not at all an unreasonable asking price, I think I'd be 1/2 way to the Maier set by the time yours are shipped to me. I'll go with the Maier set in white so that it better matches the green springs and other green Kawasaki colors on our KFX.

Understood...can't give them away because a large part of the resale value is the appearance...Maier are nice because of the color options...but they are thinner than OEM...

Totally agree. Mine aren't ripped or cracked anywhere. At some point, someone had taken a sander to them and created very uneven ruts throughout before painting them black. There's overspray all over. Looked horrible, but it was all there. When I priced the Maier kit, and then added decals, I'd be close to $575. That's a lot of money. At that amount, I'd be a good ways toward a 2nd quad for my other kid. Or one for me

Yeah...restoration is a loosing proposition...I spent the money on new plastics/motor/suspension, not because I thought I'd get any of it back, but more because I have the means and I really want something special for my son. He WILL have this machine for a long time...so I'm trying to justify it that way...however, I'm still into it less than anything remotely close you could get new and it will be unique (something rare today and very hard to put a price on)...

But I completely understand where you're coming from...my neighbor is in the same boat...however the kid(s) don't get it...they want it shiny & new and don't appreciate the costs/time required...
