Agreed. Its not even listed anymore on procketlist. The scammers like to use pics with snowplows attached.

 

Fellas - if you see any that are proven scams (we don't have the opportunity to call on each ad shared), please do report it to SprocketList so that they can yank them down. They don't want their real estate taken up by scammers just as badly as none of us want to be chasing around something that that doesn't exist. They're pretty good about filtering them out, usually - but sometimes a few do sneak past.

These are tough times for the industry as a whole. SprocketList is a 100% free platform to use but since the pandemic, they've gone from what used to be 20-30 pages worth of listings down to 3. Supporting them with your classifieds (and at the very least, reporting known spam if you see it) is really appreciated for them to stay afloat.

 

Understood. Honestly facebook marketplace is directly responsible for a big part of the sparse selection on other sites. I wish people would just get off that platform entirely as it's nothing but cancer.

 

Craigslist used to have ads like this all the time. I don't even understand what they expected to accomplish. Guess scam people for info but who would fall for it?

 

You have to be your own detective on where and what you buy. This ad is a good example. Snow plow, in Houston, TX. Seen ads for bikes before that said they were in South Dakota, and they have palm trees in their yard. Caveat emptor.
