CENTRAL OKLAHOMA ATV CLUB

Gordon,
Thanks for the input. Hope you can stay in camp next time as you missed all the campfire STORIES
I have owned cabins before and you end up going to that area because you have a cabin there. You would rather go somewhere else for a change. You have the maintenance of a second home and a few would end up with all the work.
My wife doesn't like to camp either or stay in motels. As she says, I've done that. But we have spent up to 6 months a year away from home.
With an RV, you take your cabin with you, If you want to see a different area it's easy, You don't have to use a realtor.
If you don't like your neighbors, turn the key clockwise. (did you see our neighbors Sat. night??!!
It would be a better idea for the club to own an RV and charge a maintenance fee to use. There would be some problems and hard feelings, so maybe that is not a good idea.
The last time I stayed in a motel was 4 years ago in CO. After you have done that an RV is next on the list.
With an RV, you can be as simple or complex as you want. From what Bob wants with a bath, bed, chair and good AC to all the conveniences of home.
With the SE OK area being free to camp (only the user access fee) it is hard to beat.
Bob, how long can you stay in one area? In the state parks, it is two weeks.

Charlie...
What you said about the cabin is so true. When I had my lake spot I ended up going there many weekends when I really didnt want to just so that I could do some work on it. A big part of why I sold it was because I realized that I was becoming just like the people who had been there for many years. They were the same 8 people sitting around the same picnic table on the same deck talking about stuff that happened 3-4 years ago. Now don't get me wrong I am not saying anything bad about them, they are still some of my best friends, but it is just like I predicted. Three years later and they are still there doing the same stuff. I have no delusions of Grandeur but I did like to think that I was at least going to "expand my horizons" beyond the shores of Lake Carl Blackwell's Cabin Cove East...Anyway...I agree that any "club member co-op owned" property is just a bad idea waiting to happen. In fact, Community property is part of what caused me to lose the best friend I ever had.

Jason,
For the longest time the thread right below ours was "No Hat No Stickers" some guy whining because he never got his hat and stickers for upgrading to the "Supporting Member Status"
Poor Kid.

Ok so points that need to be clarified.
1. the sticker guy... Why did it show up on our page in the first place?
2. The cabin sounds like a bad deal. ( I had not thought about being the only place you could go. I forgot my childhood.)
3. Charlie's toy hauler still sounds good.
4. When are we riding again... Seems like someone said November 9, but I would have to go back way too many pages to find the post. (even past the sticker guy)
5. Haywood--- following someone home once or twice does NOT make you a stalker. Maybe a dreamer, but definetly not a stalker.

That was actually the turnoff to my parents' house, not mine. I live in a whole different part of Farris. It's such a big town, you know...
