lvthoutdrs,

What's the level of difficulty of the trails at crossbar? How would it compare to the old trails at Prague Lake? Thanks.

If the trails at prague were a 2, the 13 mile loop would be a 3 or 4 and the 20 mile a 6 or 7. There are a lot of elevation changes and rocks. That is what makes it more difficult. It is a much more technical area. Never boring! Great scenery from a couple of ridges. The only mud has a bottom of rocks, so you dont have to worry about getting stuck, but still have the challenge of a creek crossing followed by a rocky uphill. Not everyone will like it because it will take 2 1/2 to 3 hours to run the 20 mile loop on a quad and 2 hours on a bike.

Give it a try. You might like it, life is to short and there are a lot of trails yet to be ridden.

ATTN: ALL CLUB MEMBERS AND READERS OF THIS FORUM, I am planning the POLAR BEAR RIDE this year for lake murray on the FIRST OF JAN. We will try to meet around 11am at the parking lot and ride all day. Try to let me know if you are able to make it. And don't be a p*ssy, it wont be that cold once you get in the trails.
