long travel on a banshee or just extended a arms?

I have been looking at getting a long travel set up for my banshee for about 3 months now and I am trying to find a set that is a good price and a good value. It is really hard to do it seems like because most of the deals I have found out there are for 250r and 400ex's. Im not saying that a long tavel for a banshe cannot be found im just saying its hard to find at a good price. I wanted to ask you guys if you know anyone selling a long travel set up for a shee at a good price or any web sights selling them at a pretty good deal. For axis triple rates fully adjustable with a lobo II set up a good price i have found is about 2700 this kit comes with lines and tie rods. I thought that was a good deal because i have seen regular plus 1 plus 2s go for that much. Thanks I hope you guys can help.

I ride a lot of dunes and trails. I have gone through two set of stock shocks and blew out the ball joints once on my a arms and im just tired of the junky stock stuff. I want long travel because it is supposed to be the best, and the extra few inchs of suspension will be a huge improvment when landing. I know the stock is junk and aftermarket is the way to go for sure. I am really hard on my bike and i have gone through an lsr axle once already from landing wrong off a jump, but I was really happy with the turn around time on the return of it. The stock axle was goo for about a year or two until i really started hammering on the bike hard. Thanks for all of the help and I hope to hear of any leeds you get.

Actualy, long travel is a misnomer. Long travel shocks will only travel a max of a 1/2" more than a good standard travel shock. Long shock is a better name for them. The benefits include better cooling and better geometry, but not extra travel. You would probably be just as satisfied with standard length shocks unless you are going to be doing MX, where you will have repeated jumps and cooling is a big factor. Think about that and let me know, I'll help you find whichever you want. A good set of A-arms with good joints and some nice standard travel shocks is probably the best alternative unless you want to spend big big $$$ . - Zack

I have been looking and i expect to pay over 2 grand or more for which ever set up i go with. The extra money in long travel is just in the a arms the shocks are the same amount. I just want a something good that will out last me. Elka and axis is probably the suspension I will go with im not set on a set of arms yet. The lobos are good and lsr, leager and a few other brands out there make really good arms. I am all for a set of knock offs if they are willing to stand behind their products. I talked to a man from wicked products and he said that his arms are lift time and i like the idea of that. Just run the long travel price and the plus 1 plus 2 arms prices by me. Thanks again for all the help.
