New Tires for 2003 Rancher 4x4 ES
#1
Hello all,
I am shopping for new Tires and Wheels for my Utility ATV.
I have been looking at ITP's 589's and Mud Lites with C-series wheels.
I have read a little about the issues with larger tires and wheel bearings and such.
I would like to stay around the 25” to 26” range.
I have also seen issues with being able to “turn” the wheels. The Rancher has pretty good torque and climbs well. I have not been stuck “yet” but would feel better about it with better tires.
I Climb a lot of cement ditches along the route I ride and some are at a pretty good angle. The tires I choose would need to have good grip in all conditions. Well, with the exception of snow. We don’t get much, if any, of that in these parts.
Will be adding a ramsey winch as well in the future but i have been told i should get the tires first.

I have ITP Holeshot ATR's on TIP 12X7" Magnum rims. These rims are way lighter than stock, and even lighter than C-series, but unfortunately are no longer available. Makes the bike a whole lot wider, and way more stable! Ride is a lot more sporty too.
If you go with lighter rims, that amy help make up for the bigger tires.
