I put a set of 25" dirt Devils on a set of Foreman 500 rims for my Rancher ES. The tires I got are 6 plys and while they use a carcass to get the rating they weight about 24#,s for the 10" and 19#'s for the 8". They bolted up real nice and are exactly what I was looking for. I wanted an all-around tire for x-cross country hunting trips in Canada where you run into all types of conditions, Rocks, Ruts, Logs, and Mud. Here is how I see it with the tires......
1. great crawling traction in all types of conditions especially loose rocks and dirt.
2. The tire doesn't wander at high speeds on the trails and hardpack.
3. The ***** on the shoulder really make the ruts and road ditches easy to climb in and out of.
4. The new front differential on the Rancher really works great with the extra hook-up. I have gone up 60 degree grades in loose dirt and rocks and it swithches back and forth as needed, feels like it just keeps crawling. This is much more noticeable over the stock tires.
5. Much more positive hook-up in the mud than the stockers. The stockers would feel like they were slipery, your hooked-up here. Remember they aren't as good as specialty mud tires but I am impressed.
6. Nice ride for a 6 ply tire. I run 5#'s of pressure. But they do not ride as nice as the stock tires, and steering is more positive but not as easy by a little bit.
7. The back 10" tires have a flat profile. The tire was originally developed for Austrialia in the Outback. Durable!
I really like these tires and chose them over the Kenda Bear Claws and the Blackwaters. For my purpose they are what I needed, if you are in mud over 50% of the time they maynot be the right tire.
8. I bought them from Treadepot $37 for the fronts and $43 for the backs, real nice price.
9. The ESP shifts a little louder with these tires. It must be the traction but it doesn't sound like it is causing a problem.
10. I don't see hardly any power loss, feels about the same as the 24" tires. I am sure it had to loose a little but I think it was quick to the rev. limiter with the 24" so there is plenty of power there. The machine did 48mph wound out and it didn't seem to take much longer to get there in 5th, that tall gear.
11. I would say with the stock 2plys the Rancher feels much more sporty, with the 6 plys it is more like the 300 ride, it is truck feeling. I have two sets of rims so I can use it either way.

do you think the 24"*11" tires would fit on a honda recon?

They should be good if they will pull them and that I don't know.

I bought mine when they came out in Feb. the dealer did not know much about them at the time, but the price was right(under $250 with frieght 25x12x10&25x8x12). I use mine in a lot of black nasty mud (like for growing peatmoss) and have had little trouble. I would recomend them for some one who plays every where and does not want a mud only tire.

24" tires most likely wouldn't fit on a Recon without modifying the fender. I put my 24" stock Rancher tires on the Recon, there wasn't much clearance between the fender & the tire.

Another thing no one makes a 23" mud tire, unless you consider the Titans 489.

My Recon is getting 22" bear claws or sur traks
