Default Wheel Studs on Sport Atv

I have aftermarket aluminum wheels on my warrior and the center plate is thicker than the stock wheels. The lug nuts hold the tires on but the stud does not extend past the outer edge of the lug. Is this okay or should I get some longer wheel studs?

you are on the borderline... if you can get longer studs, do it... you could also try to buy tapered lug nuts, then camfor the holes to fit the tapered lug nuts... I had to put longer studs on my utility quad, to be able to run a set of double beadlock racing wheels, I ened up drilling the hubs ( a major pain ), & installing automotive studs, then drilling out the lug holes to the new size in the rims... as I hare scramble race my beast, I was afraid that since the suds & nuts are not hardened, I'd lose a wheel coming off a jump, & it would be a nasty landing... IMO, the stud should stick out at least one full thread past the end of the lug nut...
