Default nee tire for gravel, dirt/sand, light mud good traction... help?!?

Hi. I have a 2000 Sportsman 500 with the factory Goodyears on it. The front tire tread is worn down. The back still have good tread.

I guess I am looking for the best all around tire.

I use my quad for utility work. I encounter gravel roads, dirt/sand mix trails and once in a while some mud trails. Although the factory tires held up well, I am looking for something that is less used for deep mud than the originals seem to be.

Sorry for the rambling..... Never posted until today, but always reading posts.

So many types of tires...so little time.

Thanks in advance to any responses.

Dave
2000 Polaris Sportsman 500.....and lovin it.

I have no experiance with the goodyears. the bighorns corner very well how i use them and as far weight, the bias are lighter than the radials, overall they are a heavy tire. They are ok in the mud but are designed as an all terrain tire.

MAXXIS ALL TRAX got some a lot of grip in all terrain smooth ride and very little wear...a friend has had his for two years on his 400ex and you can't see much wear on them
