Tires for a 2002 Warrior....
#1
New rider here! I was looking to buy some diff tires then the stock tires ..maybe it is me but I feel as though I'm riding on balloons..? Do the after market tires give a better feel for the ground? Are they flatter, as aposed to the roundish shape, of the stock tires...? Any info on tires would help... I ride through cornfields and open country, no sand invovled.
Thanks guys!

If you're in the states I'd recommend rockymoutain ATV .. do a search .. lots of people on here order from them and seem pleased with the service.
If you're in Canada try www.royaldistributing.com .. they're really good too, though I've never ordered tires from them.

OK...Thanks guys... I found them on the internet and boy your right, looks like a whole diff tire! I have my Clymer service book and it says my stock tires are AT22x10-9. What does that mean? Can I go with a wider or higher tire? Do I even want to? What size tires should I be looking at? This forum site is great! Thanks for all the help!

They may be a buck or two more, but go with the razor2's, they handle awesome on the warrior. They also wear down like rock, and will last you about twice as long as most other tires. Definately go with 20" dia. tires also, you'll be very pleased with them.
AT 22x10-9
22= diameter of tire
10= width of tire
9= diameter of rim
You'll need new rims in the rear for the razor2's or razors, and the new size will be 20x11-9
The front rims are the right size for the razor or razor2 front tires, but you may want to optimize your steering capabilities by buying offset front rims also, or 2" wider a arms.

Ok I just called Moto-Man and bought the Razr2's 20x11x9. Guy said my stock rims already 9, so I did not have to buy new rims. I'm gonna go with changing the backs first to see how it goes. My front tires are brand new also and I would hate to through the money out the window. My stock tires on front should be fine...correct? Can any gas station put my new tires on the rims? Or should I go to Yamaha dealer?..they charge 25.00 per tire. The 20's will drop the back end down a bit...correct? Will this be a problem..or no? Hay Box, where did you get the Armidillo A Arms I love em...can't find them on the internet. Do I want the front tires a bit taller than the backs...or the same?
Once again ...thanks for all the help!
