Shock setup question
#1
was wondering what the differance was between a mx setup shock and a xc setup shock? Need to know because I have TCS shocks setup for desert/dunes and want to start riding mx tracks some to. Is it just the ride height of the shock or is there something different internally? Also anyone familar with the TCS shocks is there a way to adjust the ride height?
Thanks in advance

As far as I know, a cross country setup is a normal setup shock that has a higher ride height to prevent bottoming out on rocks, trees, etc...whereas a MX setup is more of a zero preload that will set the bike a few inches lower at rest or on flat for better cornering but still has full travel for jumps. Of course the zero preload are stiffer landing due to the higher valve rates to compensate for the softer springs to sit the bike lower.
