Default Bent Lonestar Axle

I bought an axicalibur axle on Ebay, the guy said it was perfectly straight.......guess what. It wasn't. It is bent big time. He won't refund money. Can a guy have these straightened???? Is it worth it, or should I just take the hit and buy a new $400 one.

Did he give the you warranty card that came with it? Ask if he has one for it. If he doesn't or did not give it to you, chances are he bent the first one and used it up already. That wouldn't surprise me. You can have it straightened. I straightened a few axles, they were all stockers. I haven't bent my LSR yet(knock on wood). My cousin has a machine shop, and he would either straighten them in a press or on one of his laithes. Check around with some local CNC machine shops. Keep in mind, the axle is now weakened. And straightening it makes it weaker still. It is more susceptible to bend again, under less stress than what caused it to bend initially. If you're racing it and hitting some big jumps, you're better off getting a new one.
