The other day i was riding my raptor on a trail and was riding in first gear for awhile when i ccould open it up to change gears i could not get it in second gear. It will go in reverse fine and first and neutral but it will not go any higher.Would it be i have a clutch promblem or something else.I don't know even where to start.If anyone has any ideas please let me know.Thanks

 

Sounds like 01 Raptor transmission symptoms. If you have an 01 with the original trans be prepared for the worst.

The shifter linkage could be bound up or possibly a problem with the clutch cable. Will it not go into gear at all or does it just stall when you do?

 

Yes Ican get in first and reverse but when i want to go from first gear to second it will not shift.

 

Sounds like mad dog is right go to the yamaha forum and some of the guys with previos experiance should be able to help you with getting the best deal on the parts you need.
