Carlisle Tires?
I assume you are talking about the 489's ??? They are a 4 ply tire, & much better than most stock tires... I use the 489 XT's, which are a 6 ply version, with the same tread pattern... they are a pretty tough tire, & a good all around tread pattern for trail riding... I have 2 pairs of 23" X 8" X 12" XT's, one is studded for iceracing & grass drags, & one set I use for the fronts on muddy hare scramble courses... the regular 489's arew a pretty good value when purchased at Walmart...

I saw those at WalMart too. They're 489's. I believe my sizes-- 25-8-12's were $50, and 25-10-12's were $53. Not too bad really for a decent aftermarket tire. They mount them too. I think that's extra though.
Polaris uses them as one of their OEM tires, and I think somebody else does too, though I can't remember who at the moment. I'm sure about the Polaris though.
I'm still probably going to replace my stock 2 ply Maxxis rubber on the Kodiak with Bearclaws. Just haven't decided between 25's or 26's yet.

Our '04 Arctic Cat 400's came with Carlisle Badlands radials. Not too bad. Not a real agressive treat but a pretty good all around trail tire.
I saw a guy getting new tires on his Honda at Les Schwab. Prior to this I didn't know Shwab sold ATV tires.

Yep. Les Schwab sells a few different types of ATV tires, and can order you whatever else you want. They also have their usual flat repair guarantee etc., and mount your tires.
They're just a bit on the high side price wise. I think it was 72/77 bucks a tire for front/rear 25" Bearclaws repectively if I ordered them through them.
