Default ANOTHER QUESTION

i've heard of people cracking aluminum rims, but I've got two sets of ITP type 5C's for my machine, one with 27" 589s and the other with 27" Mud Lites....never had a problem and I live in the land of rocks...New Mexico, sounds like jealously to me....

Default ANOTHER QUESTION

The serious Jeepers usually always use steel wheels in the rocks because they bend instead of breaking. So there is something behind what he says.

He is right, if you hit a rock just the right way they will break. But its very rare and I can live with that minimal risk. Im not going to run heavy steel wheels just for fear of cracking an alluminum one. Thats just a bit paranoid unless you only do rock crawling. I have pounded mine pretty hard a few times and nothing bad has happened.
