When mounting a V pattern paddle (sand shark, sand skate, etc..), does the longer side of the V go toward the inside or outside of the wheel? Does it matter? Does having it one way vs the other make a difference when turning?

They should be marked right on the tire, which side to mount them on. If you go the opposite way, they'll be backwards.

However, you can mount them with the correct directional allignment and still have the longer paddle in or out depending on which side you bolt the wheel to the hub. I'd like to find out what difference it makes in handling. Anyone?

The short part of the "V" paddle is supposed to be mounted on the inside on both wheels with the longer portion of the paddle on the outside. As for effect/ride if mounted the opposite way, It will work, but I have always heard that the above way is correct for optimum turning/sliding.
