I got some 28's for Christmas. I think my girlfriend got tired of me talking about them. So now I can talk about them and show them to her every single day! Now I jsut need some ITP Magnum billet wheels and a Rubicon. She knows that, but I thought it better not to say, "what about some wheels"? She did not do bad at $96 a piece. Most places here wanted $135.

On a light quad, like a Honda 300, with wide tires you're going to want to run little air in the tire to get better floatation. On a heavier quad that has no chance of floating over the mud, like a Sportsman, you're going to want to run about 10-lbs or more to get more ground clearance.

In your last post, boner, you said less air in a lighter bike with wide tires would make it float better? I thought more airmeant more flotation. Am I right guys?

More air means more floatation, more ground clearance, and rougher ride. Less air means better traction in the mud if ground clearance is not an issue and a smoother ride. Just take a set of 12" wide vampires and only put 3psi in them in see how much surface area there is touching the ground. Then pump them up to about 20psi and watch how tall they grow. They become much more rounded with less lug touching the ground. It's kind of a trade off, but with Vampires traction is usually not an issue no matter what air pressure you choose to run.
