Default MXR-4 on Raptor

I'm running motocross on my raptor and want to drop the tire size. Right now I'm running 12/44 sprockets with the stock tires, and it still pulls long before I need to shift, and it doesn't spin the tires enough for a good start. I want to go with 18 inch tires for the holeshots. What do you guys think?

Anything you can do to get the CG down will help a Raptor. I ran 18" rear and 19" front with 12/40 gearing on a CR high compression 686. As an amateur, I thought it worked pretty good?
