I am thinking about getting new tires for my Bayou 220 next summer and I am undecided between these three tires. I am looking for people that has first hand experience with each. Also, are the swampers the best in the mud? I will be getting 22-inch. Thanks for any info.

Nathan,
I have a set of 22" Bear Claws on my Scrambler and love them. There is also the Mudmachine that comes in 22".. The thing to watch for is the tread depth on the particular tire size you're interested in... Swampers in some sizes have less tread depth than others.. BearClaws are the same way, I think (somebody double check me on this) the 25" BearClaws aren't as deep as the 22" BearClaws..
You have some good choices, and it might just come down to price.. I can tell ya that so far, my BearClaws seem to wear less than my Swampers..(I have a LONG gravel driveway and ride on the road sometimes)
Good Luck In Your Decision!!

My friend has swampers on his bayou 220 and my other friend has bear claws on his 250 timberwolf. The bear claws are a good tire and do not wear as fast as the swampers. I think the swampers would probably be the better mud tire though. The sur tracs have basically the same tread pattern as the bear claws except the dont have the large ***** on the outside of the tire. Out of bear claws and sur tracs go with bear claws.

I think you should look at the Bearclaws. I have the 22" size also, and they are working great. We have 25" on another machine, the I think the tread on the 22" was a little deeper, but it could be because the 25" were worn a little. The front skinny Bearclaws aren't very deep though.

i have the mud machine a/t's on my warrior
and they are awsome. i also have supper swampers on my polaris tblazer. the mud machines are by far the better tire.
much deeper tread, greater height (both are 22 inch but MMs are much taller) clean out much better also. my friend has 22 inch Bclaws on his 300ex and they arent even as good as my swampers in the mud, but are supeior for trail ect...
hope this helps

Ok.. looks like Bear claws win, now.. Where's the best place to purchase them? Is it best to buy them With or Without Rims?

thanks
Brian

You should be able to buy that at most tire shops. They shouldnt cost andmore than 60 per tire, I think I saw them in the 22X12-10 size with rims in dirtwheels for like 200 maybe less, That includes 2 tires and 2 rims!
