Default 6 INCHES IS CALLING MY NAME

Has anyone had any experience with the Gorilla Axle 6 inch lift kits.....? MY sportsman with highlifter lift and outlaws is definitely a good rig but i want bigger...ai am however a little leary of the severe drive line angles that the kit produces....please give feedback

I know this is an old post but I am considering the same thing for my 600 Sportsman. The 6" Gorilla lift has extended A-arms and longer axles to bring the CV angles to an exceptible range.

The kit is pricey but I'm looking for good GC with strong axles without going super-huge on the tires. What can I say I'm addicted.

Anyone with experience in this matter would be great. Thanks

The Gorilla kit comes with beefier axles to handle the more extreme angles. I talked to a guy that had installed the 6" lift on his Rhino. He didn't think it was worth the money. Said it ruined the ride and handling of the machine. The only trhings he liked about it was the look and the ground clearance. I have to agree...it does look good.

Thanks for the input Rubidude. I'm lookin to lift my 600 Sportsman for better GC, the trails around here are kinda rocky and boggy and I sometimes bottom out on rocks, plus need the GC just to get across the rock fields ( kinda like washed out river bottoms).

I'm not interested in going bigger than the 26' 589's I have on. If I go 2' lift and have to pull the struts off, I may as well go bigger lift, I plan on going Gorilla axles either way. Turnercycles.com has a 4' lift kit that does not include rear axles, I'm going to e-mail them and find out how they do it.

Rubi, your reply reminded me of back in the day when I put a big lift on a Cherokee, it ruined the ride and made it feel tippy but man could it go though mud and snow.

Keep the comments comming. Thanks

I think the tranny problems are because the kit allows for huge mud tires and they put alot of strain on parts of the drive train that are not beefed up. I'm not going that route.

As far as the replys unrelated to ATV's - Hey, whatever it takes to keep this topic active - Keep um coming.
