Kick Start issue...
#1
my wife has a lil Yamaha Blaster, and last weekend after kickstarting the quad the kickstart would not come back to the top position automatically. she can move it back to the top position and it will stay there while she rides, and it will still start when kicking, but now she has to manually move it back up everytime she has to kick it.
It looks like I have to pull the case apart to look at it, but was wondering if any ones has ever experienced this and knows what all is entailed to fix it and what parts will have to be replaced?
thanks in advance.

I'm not sure, might want to call a local bike shop and ask them what the kickstart return spring part calls for. Is it an assembly? Does the replacement come wound and mounted? It sounds like the spring has just worn out, or it's just so packed full of crud it won't move. Best case, you should be able to pull the spring and it's housing out and replace it. Worse case you'll have to wind the spring yourself. It's not impossible, just a pain in the ****. Now I've never seen the kick assembly on a blaster so it could be completely different.
