400ex owners with Bandits
#1
I am really considering Bandits all the way around for my EX and want to hear first hand experience from EX owners who have 'em...especially the XC's.

I had the bandits, they kicked *** on fast moving hard pack, did really well in mud but on loose terrain the didnt bite rear end would come around on you loose hills once you lost your wheel speed would not hook up and take off again. These tires also kept coming off the bead. If your racing they are
great but for recreational riding especially
hill climbs get something else I sold mine and got Maxxis All Tracks these tires do a great job. My choice All Tracks.
I also heard that the 22'' holeshots kick ***

Forgot to mention one thing. I've had bandits on the front of a Warrior I used to own and I didn't like them. I never had a flat and they held up well, but the flat profile on a front tire changed the way the quad handled for the woods. Maybe on more even terrain they might work better. I guess it's just a personal preference. Bandits on the rear - great, Bandits on the front - probably ok for desert racing, but not too good in the woods.

I've had bandits on the rear of 3 different quads: Warrior, 300ex, and 400ex. The 400 turns 'em much better than the other two, but they're still very heavy. I dont' race 'em because of it. They're great for recreational use, though. Except in sand. Might be due to the weight.

The bandit rears are good tires but don't get the bandit front tires. with their flat profile they have a tendency to want to climb banks and when they pack up with much they don't clean out well because they don't flex. Go with either holeshot or Razr front.

Steve,
I've had the front bandits on a 300ex which worked great when they were brand new but as the edges got worn they didn't want to carve anymore.
I think I'm going to try Maxxis razrs on the fornt of my 400 this time.
