What would be the best all around tire and rim combo for my 2004 Polaris Sportsman 500. I need all around performance and also light weight. Tire and Rim combo.

Depends on what type of riding you do.

Badland radials on ITP type 5 or 6 for lightweight trail combo
or Mudlite in 25" big lug on ITP type 5 or 6 for lightweight mud setup.

Check out the 14" Vision cast aluminum wheel/Kenda radial tire set-up that Polaris sells which is set-up specifically for Polaris machines.

You can find it on the Polaris website in the ATV "accessories" section.

 

The GoodYear Rawhide tire was the best stocker.IMO . My dealer said Pol had a falling out w/goodyr. You can still get the 'Rawhide Grip' . You can find it at a good price as well. My buds have em on three rigs. They ride good grab everything and wear like Iron.

 

Kenda bear bear claws on itp c rims are good all terian tires.Itp xl mud light on itp c rims good all terian tires and good mud tires. Size 25/8/12 25/10/12 both tires are 6ply and about the same weight.
