I just snapped my swing arm on my 400EX and wanted a leager's. I like 4 bearing carrier bolts, the overall swingarm looks beafy, and (sorry to say) love the looks and I never want to break one again. BUT, I am wandering if I fell for a sales job. I saved $75 going with a Burgard. K&K said the Burgard is an almost exact copy of a leager's...but I noticed they don't sell leager's. Well, I ordered a +1" BURGARD. You get what you pay for, but is there any real difference between the two.

Then someone posted that Burgard's are S**T!!

What's up? Why? I bought there a-arms too, I am waiting on the parts.

I really wanted a Leager's. Give me some suggestions.

Also, thought about Houser which looks to be a good unit.

Any advice??

K&K mostly deals with Lonestar, not Leagers. That is why he does not sell them.

Never asked him on his take between the two though...

I have a burgard +1 on my 400ex and, other than haveing to sand down the stud that the brake caliper mount slides on, its been great. And yes I get big air with, 90ft single to a tabletop, 80ft stepup.

I am running Houser +2, +1 A-arms & love them! I ordered a Burgard's swingarm for my 250R(stock 88 length)& sent it back. It was a duplication of a Lone Star, not a Laeger. It took me awhile, but I finally found a Laeger & the difference in price is obvious. The Laeger is quality. The Burgard's will probably hold up quite well, but I would recommend the Laeger, if you can find one! As to Houser, anything he builds will be TOP quality, but he has just started into building swingarms & said that it would be 4-6 weeks till I could have a stock length(88) swingarm from him, but I think that he has been making the 400EX swingarms for some time.

WV250R Lonestar has only 2 bearing carrier bolts and the Burgard has 4, and the beams are different from lonestar. Are you sure you didn't have those mixed up? I would really like a leager, I pretty sure I'm going to send it back. I'm spending this much I might as well get exactly what I want.

ADAMS44, Sorry, I was referring to the 250R swingarm, I haven't seen the Lonestar or Burgard's for the 400EX. The Burgard's that I had for the 250R used 4 bolts, but the ones that they furnished were SAE, not metric & they were not all the same length(I thought that was kind of chinsey).
