i need a good snow tire for the grizzly
#1
Yeah guys i need a tire that is going to do great in the snow my stock tires on the grizzly suck and the grizzly just wants to spin everywhere. When i had 27" mudbugs it went awsome in the snow! My picks right now are Kenda Executioner's, Vamps, Swamp Lites, or mudbugs again. I will be going with there tires in 25" maybe 26". I am most interested in how the Kenda Executioner and swamp lite do in the snow. Let me know guys because right after Christmas i will be buying new tires. Also guys please just give me info on the tires above because them are my picks i want a tire with good tread an i have a good idea how they do all around i just don't know how they do in the snow.

Why not? I know that mudlites and mudbugs do preatty good i have saw them in action. I heard swamp lites are good because of there close tread pattern and i also heard that vamps wear pretty good. But i have nopt heard anything on the kenda Executioner.

I have mud lites XTR's a radial tire that is the best tire I have ever had in the snow....I don't think anything compairs and the tire is real good in the trails on bare ground. I really think you should consider more than the tires you listed! Good LUCK

bigdog is right. the aggressive mud tires are not what you want in the snow. they will work good until the snow gets too deep to "plow through" and you need to float on top. if you are on three feet of crusted snow with the mud tires and spin once, you are stuck. for a pure snow tire you kinda need the opposite of a mud tire. you want a thin and flexible tire with shallow tread and the bare minimum of air pressure. you will hafta do what i do and just get the tire you like and just do the best you can with them in the snow.

yeah that's what i am not going with a mud tire just an all around tire like mudlites or mudbugs. I have saw both in action before and they do great in the snow. I had a set of mudbugs onlty they where 27' My grizzly went the best through the snow when i had them. Also i ahve never had it where you can have a crust and be on three feet of snow. Anytime we get a curst on the snow no matter what tire you have you always break through.

MUDbugs and MUDlites are kind of a MUD tire. I think? Maybe thats why they have MUD in the name. You are correct , they are not a vampire or an outlaw, but they are still a mud tire. One of the new radials will out do any of the tires on your list when it comes to snow or hard trail conditions.
