G-Force axle how good
#2
Here's what i've heard: They're good for trail riding and moderate sport riding, but for real aggressive riding it's possible to bend or break one. Depending on what kind of riding you do, it might be ok, or you might be better off with a stronger one like durablue, lonestar, etc.

There are several topics that talk about the G-force axle by Rocky Mountain ATV (Tusk makes it for RM).
Here is my $0.02 worth...I'm 6'5", about a couple of biscuits shy of 320 lbs. Although I do not race competively, I do most of my riding on MX tracks. I can clear most doubles and step-ups...I'm no where close to jumping like the fellas on Huevos, Bomb Squad, Akraix or any other Quad freestyle film.
I've had my G-force axle for about 3 months now, and have had no problems with it bending or breaking. The only problem I've had is the axle nut loosening-up on me. With the help of Red Loctite...problem solved!
It boiled down to the following for me:
1. $199 axle with lifetime warranty
2. Cheaper than Lonestar or Excaliber
3. Lifetime warranty
4. Did I mention lifetime warranty? (Rocky Mountain will stand by it's warranty...no questions asked)
For less than $200 +/- shipping, you can have a decent axle.
If man can make it, man can break it...period!
Now, you can spend my $0.02 any way you like.
Hope this helps.

i would go with either lonestar or rpm dominator. yes they are more expensive but they are much stronger than the g-force. i am on my 2nd bent g-force and i dont race. just trail ride hard with some track riding. dont buy durablue ive seen two break in front of my eyes and seen two more broken ones at the yamaha dealership behind the parts counter. just my opinion.
