Default Chain Oil

Ok, I know when you have any bike/quad with a chain you gotta keep the chain oiled but, does it really matter what you use to lube up your chain with? I myself, have just been using wd-40 for gunk liquid wrench, some of the people I ride with buy all these fancy chain oils that cost like $6 a can. Does it really pay to buy better oil when you just powerwash it off @ the end of the day anyways?

Default Chain Oil

I have a 99 400ex that is still on the original chain and sprokets and is still far from being won out. All I have ever used is WD-40.
