Turbo for 800EFI?

Default Turbo for 800EFI?

hey guys i've seen turbos out for the Raptor660r n thought i heard something about one for the sportsman 800 i've checked the web but nothing ... has n e one else heard the likes?

Default Turbo for 800EFI?

on the Kawiriders site, there were a couple of guys that had turbos on Brutes, so it can be done. one guy simply simply hooked his up to pressurize the air box with good results. i'm not an expert, tho, but i bet it wouldn't be too hard unless the EFI needed tweaked.
i bet it would make the 800 snort.

The down side of turbos would be, Takes high RPMs to get effiencent and heat.

Default Turbo for 800EFI?

It all depends on how the turbo they chose for the raptor. I would think that a 4x4 atv guy would want a turbo that was designed to have a powerband in the lo to mid area. I'm sure the one for the Raptor has a impeller design to come in on low-mid range and go to the rev limiter.
