Need advice between 2 sizes and tires
#1
OK, I just filed my tax return and am going to use it to upgrade from my stock tires and wheels on my grizzly 700. (for real this time)
The wheels I'm going with are ITP C-Series Type-4 Wheels for sure.
I have narrowed my tire choices to Mudbugs or Swamplites. I can find either one cheaper than the other depending what site I go to and my riding style is everything: rocks, mud, trails, ditches, snow, obsticle climbing, cruising... I do like wide floatation
I have narrowed my size choices to 26" or 27" tires.
I need advice on size first and tire choice second.
Will 27" tires work on the Grizzly 700 without any rubbing problems or too much drive train stress or are 26" safer? I was thinking about 26" but have heard that 27" tires usually have deaper lugs.
Go ahead and give some advice or experience with either tires or sizes and why you would make that choice.

Swamplites all the way, for the terrain your riding. I ride the same type, and love them. Im sure you can turn 27" tires fine, as i could easily turn them also. But i got 26" Swamplites, and i still gained another inch of ground clearance, and i dont void my warranty with bigger tires My dealer said as long as i put 26" tires, which is what my stock tires were, it wouldnt void my warranty

The lugs on the 26" swamp lites are pretty deep. The 27's are not much different. Swamplites are a great all around tire. Still good in the mud but not the best. The mudbugs will have more chance of breaking something in the deep mud. The agressive tread will dig deep and put more stress on the drivetrain along with sucking up power. The swamplites dont dig as much. They float more in the mud and will not suck up power.

I want a tire that floats more if possible and I'm leaning towards the swamplites anyways. do the swamplites have a wide contact area on the ground? I like cushy, ground forming tires with good floatation.
I'm also probably going to get 26". With my stock 25"s my machine looks like it has training wheels on. Will the 26" fill out my wheel wells a little bit more (width wise as well as height wise)?

Yes the Swamplites leave a large footprint, and are actually known for it. And the 26" tires will be impressive looking on your ride

I just got my 26" swamplites in the mail. They definately make my grizzly look more tough. Does it matter wich way you mount them? I mounted them with the middle arrow looking lugs pointing the dirrection of tire spin while going forward.
