Can I shorten my chain?
#1
I am adjusted to my limit on my raptor. My sprockets look good and the chain has no tight spots. Can I just take out a link or 2 and get a little more life out of it? I mainly ride roads and ditches, not much jumping just wheelies. Is there a master link or will I have to cut it and find a master link?

Just go to your local dealer and buy a chain breaker...... I think I paid less than $20 for mine, but it is a wise investment..
All you need to do it pop out a few links.... I would recommend buying a new master link too, but not everyone does that, I'm sure most people just reuse them. I only do it because I like to have a spare around....

Depends on the chain. If it is an older chain that has stretched it is better to replace it sooner rather than later. Removing a few links will get you a bit more use in this case, but the longer you run it the more likely it will break and leave you stranded. If it is a pretty new chain, just long from the start then I don't see any problems shortening it.
