Default Raptor 686 Gearing ?

Ok, I just shredded my front sprocket the other day on a quick trip down the road, so I thought while I was at it I would get a Tag sprocket and chain set. Now I have a ton of mods and plenty of power, and its always felt pretty good, cause I do alot of trail riding, but my buddy thinks I should drop a tooth or two in the rear. I don't want to completely go up one in the front, so thats why I was thinking like down 2 in the back. I just feel like I top each gear out just a little to quickly. But I don't want to sacrifice to much bottom because I know Raptors have long first and second gears. What do you guys think? Any experience out there or suggestions?
