buckaroo- they look pretty good except i didnt notice any side lugs, that sucks. are these tires new. ive never seen or heard of them till now.</end quote></div>

Believe it or not I don't think that sidelugs in mud offer that much other than if you need to bite something on the side. As far as forward movement I don't believe side lugs make a big difference. Side lugs just 'churn' stuff up and could actually hinder the main tread from dispersing the mud out to the side.
Altho' they do look good on a tire and make the tire look brutal.
Personally, strickly for mud running, I think I would go without the side lugs.

i do alot of mud riding and i would have to disagree. the side lugs on my tires do help, when in deep rutted out holes were i cant reach bottom. and as far as black top at higher speeds, there is little difference than with out side lugs. all serious mud tires have side lugs. this is only my opinion.

Well so far the 26" Goodyear Mud Runners have been performing well. They are hard to turn on hard pack though but besides that they seem pretty tough. Anxious to see how they wear. compond seams pretty hard "tough".

Do you do your mud-running with your Rancher? Isn't that SRA with about 8" of clearance.
As I stated side lugs help to grab something on the side but as far as forward motion they add little assistance, if nothing to grab they just 'churn' the mud on the side that the main lugs are trying to push out to the side. You can always turn your steering toward a rut in mud if need be.
They make many tires for many different people for SERIOUS mud it is 'Lug Gear" for me.
