Just wondering how you guys like them? I can't decide if I want to go with the Works tripples w/rezzies or get TCS. I ride trails and on MX tracks. I may race this year some but probably just for fun if I do. What do you guys reccomend. Thanks,

Nick

Are you planning on hardcore racing? Or just every once in a while? Works are probably the way to go if you are going to be a recreational MXer. If you are planning on racing a lot, the TCS would probably be a better choice. Remember you can always get the Works converted into TCS if you ever need more shock.

I've won numerous races with my works triple rates w/rezzies. I take all the doubles and triples that the dirt bikers take around here and haven't had any troubles with mine. I would say that with works you get a shock that isn't even comparable to the stock fronts. It sounds like you would do just fine with a set of works shocks.

I have Works and I love them. I had to send them back and get them built to my exact specs, but now they are unbelieveable. I am still trying to figure out how TCS or PEP could be that much better?

From the description of your riding it sounds like Works shocks would be perfect. In my opinion I think 90% of the riders out there will not benefit from a more expensive or "better" shock than Works. Until you get to the point that you can ride fast enough to exceed the capabilities of your current shocks then upgrading is a waste of money. The reality is that most people can not exceed the capability of their shocks but they buy new ones because everyone talks about how much better they are. Now a pro or national "A" level rider does need the best shocks made, but not many of us can ride as fast as a pro. Now to answer your question - I have Works triple-rate w/rez. front shocks and have been happy with them. I had PEP install new springs and new valving when I went from stock to +2" Lonestar A-arms. After using these shocks for 4 years I am now just considering the purchase of PEP or Axis shocks but I would like to test them to make sure they will really help me ride faster.

I have Dual Rate no Rezzy shocks. I really like them. I talked to Sandy at Works and he talked me out of the triple rate and said I didn't need them. Pluss he said there isn' much benefit to have Rezzies either unless you are racing desert races or a really whooped out MX track.

The only problem I have with mine is that the paint on the top spring is cracking and it is developing a little rust where the paint cracked.

I think when I get my engien down, I may send them back and have them gone over and maybe get the springs repainted.

What does TCS charge to redo a Works Shock? Any ideas or do you have a number for them??

Thanks!
