New Tires --> upgrade or stay the same?
#1
Right now ive got 27x9r14 and 27x11r14 XTR's on some shinny chrome climax wheels and Im wondering if there is a better tire out there that I should try out?
I am a distributor of almost all ATV tires so selection and cost is not an issue (less than $200cdn for my 4 mudlite XTR's)
I do mostly trail riding, the occational mudhole, water crossings etc.

I have no ex. with XTRs, but they havnt left me stuck with no return yet. And they are EXCELLENT in the snow and rough rocky terrain. They seem to work great in all terrains.

I agree with v2. The Swamplites are a great tire and won't let you down. Good in the mud and great on the trail.
Good luck with them!

I know there have been many positive post about the Swamplite being a great all around tire, and I am considering them for my next purchase. I currently have 26" Mudlites and they are wore out with about 1200 miles on them. I do ride on the road some between trails and around where I live. Will the road really eat up the Swamplites like my Mudlites have been? I have also have considered Maxxis Bighorn or the new Duro Power Grip for all around riding, or the Kenda Executioners for more aggressive tires...I know these wear pretty well on the road, but I still like the value of the Swamplites. I can get a set of 27"s here in less than 3 days for $300 ( free shipping). One other thing the 3 other choices are fairly heavy compared to my Mudlites, and the Swamplites, man my head is really spinning, can't decide.

I can only speak for the Mudlites and Swamplites. I've had both and the Mudlites did wear quickly. The other problems I had with the Mudlites is that they didn't measure true and I had alot of sidewall slices. So I got extra clearance from the Swamplites. I just traded a Kodiak 450 that had 2500 miles with about 2200 on Swamplites with decent wear. If you're from the USA, try http://www.mudthrowers.com and use the coupon code "LUGNUT" and you get an extra 5% off.
Hope this helps.
