whats your opinion? whats better SRA or IRS?

As far as me I like the SRA due to I like to ride fast and it seems like when I ride a IRS quad it feels tippy to me, but that is just personal opinion. I know that with the IRS you will have a little more ground clearance for really rough riding.

ctateusa1 is right about the handling.I believe if I wanted to run fast or race I would want the SRA.But the IRS I rode really rode smooth.For a utility bike I would rather have the IRS If I was just going to joyride and hunt.

I've had both the SRA and IRS on 400 and 450 Kodiaks. I think in another thread I mentioned that I thought the SRA even though it was the 400 cc model was a bit faster than the larger Kodiak with IRS. I know for sure it was more fun to throw around in 2wd when blasting out of corners and tight trail riding. The IRS I find has a ton of body roll it's a very soft ride. I think it seems a little more slugish due to the fact it has more moving parts than the SRA... but that being said I don't think you'll have a power problem with a Brute... definatly no lack of power there.

Got to say that I come from a sport quad background, so I like the solid feel of a SRA machine in the corners and off-camber side hilling. I have ridden my friend's IRS machines, and I just don't like the body roll (downhill side dives when side hilling) and the sloppy feel when cornering.
If all one is going to do is cruise, then IRS will give you the best cushiest ride. But, ironically folks think of IRS as the way to go for nasty technical riding (because of higher ground clearance), but in my experience that is exactly where the IRS comes up way short.

IRS = Don,t feel bumps
SRA = Stand up, a bumps comming up.
Not all IRS give the same ride,my friends 660 Grizzly rides rougher than mine even though he has IRS also. Ground clearance is also nice, you straddle the 8" boulder on the trail,not steer around them to try and protect that low slung rear Differential on a SRA.

depends on what type of technical riding , if you have a really rutted and rocky terrain then I'd say IRS is the ticket but if you have more trails that aren't so rough then i'd say SRA

I love the straight axle, but i really want the BF750, and it only comes in IRS, i could get the 650, and still have good power, and also be able to get a SRA.
thanks for all the replies...

IRS with a sway bar (Most do now) really do not body roll that bad. I do high speed power slides on mine all the time on logging roads.
