Default Mud Bugs or Bounty Hunters for Suzuki Eiger?

Hello All,

I own a 2006 Suzuki Eiger that is currently equipped with the stock Dunlap tires. I have not been pleased at all with the stock tires as it seems they are really lacking in the traction department. I don't ride in a whole lot of mud, but I do want a tire that can handle anything I throw at it.

I've narrowed my choices down to either the Maxxis Mud Bugs or the Kenda Bounty Hunders. The Bounty Hunters are radials while the Mud Bugs are offered in either variant. I'm not real sure of the differences between a standard and radial tire so I'm not sure if this should play in my decision making process. I also don't want to rob any power from my Eiger so I'm not looking to go up in size from the stock size. I want the best all-around tire I can buy.

I am considering adding an exhaust system (if I can find one that is not too loud) and adding a UNI air filter. Should I also consider some aftermarket rims that are lighter than the stock steel wheels while I'm at it?

Your input is appreciated.

Thank You,

Trent

been looking at the Bounty Hunters too. My preference is radials. They work better in snow and ride/handle better.

see review at atvpt.com I had the DU Wetlands radial pictured next to the BHs. Wonder which is better....

It would appear the BHs should last longer as the lugs are bigger, not that I had an issue with the Wetlands radials
