Default 14 Inch Wheels on a 400?

I want to get some new wheels for my 08 Arctic Cat 400, and I'm leaning toward the 14" ITP SS212's.

My question is, are 14" wheels with either 26" or 27" tires too heavy for a 400cc?

Will I have decreased throttle response, speed, etc with 14's?

Would I be better off going with the 12" SS212's?

The stockers are 12" with 25" tires.

Thanks for any info...

You should be OK however be advised that anytime you change factory parts raises your chance of mechanical failure with stress to your drive train ,also think about handling ,I know they look cool and all but I would hate to see you spend that much and not be happy with your bike.

I went with the 14" SS212 wheels and 26" Zillas.

They seem to be running just fine. The ride and handling is good...no noticeable difference from the stockers.

They only added about 30 pounds in total weight.

Thanks for the info...

That's a lot of extra weight to have turning all the time. I would have stayed with 12" wheels for a few reasons I won't mention since it's too late.
