Hey all i have just got a xplorer 300 from a friend of mine he had it rebuilt and the guy that rebuilt it didn't seat the rings right and also broke the air box, long story short the motor failed due to dust getting in the intake and the rings not seated right,,,, i have rebuilt the engine again had to bore it 60 over to fix the scaring... now for the part that i can not find anything on the web about and have no knowledge in... how much oil to add in the crank case..... i don;t want to make any mistakes in this but i have not found any where to add the oil only a drain. i have the engine reassembled and after flushing the crankcase out i refilled the oil close to where it was before i flushed it..... it was only maybe half a court (that really isn't alot of oil that is what i am worried about....) after hooking everything up but the exhaust i tried turning the motor over, only to find oil coming out of the exhaust port.... which with what info i have found on the web i am guessing to much oil.... but needed input before i drained some.... thank you in advance for all the info

He said some other guy rebuilt it for a friend of his.
If I'm not mistaken it's a 2-stroke and isn't suppossed to have any oil at all in the crankcase.
Chris, if you post in the Polaris forum you'll have an answer very soon. There are a lot of very knowledgeable people there. I can't remember where to get the owners manuals online but if you ask, someone else does. You can get a manual from the dealer too, and it should be free. If you go to Polaris parts online you can see the exploded view and parts names for everything Polaris ever built. You may be able to figure it out by looking at the diagrams. Just use the pull-down menu to find your year and model. http://parts.polarisind.com/Browse/Browse.asp
