looking at tires and wheels for my 500 x2 sportsman. thinking about 27 inch itp xtr mudlites and i see the wheels can be ordered 12 or 14 inch size. im really only going to use these tires during the snow season and will be switching back to the 25 inch 489's in the spring summer and fall. the 14 inch wheel looks nicer to me, but would the 12 inch wheel with the big tire be better for use on snow as i think it would have a wider footprint, or would the 14 inch be stiffer and give me an advantage with maybe more height. im thinking the 12 inch would help it more or less float on the snow and the 14 inch would have a tendency to dig but i really have no experience with an atv in the snow.
