Hello, i am confused i have a 2005 honda 250ex completely stock, my buddy has a 2003 honda 250ex with a big gun pipe and thats it, i will walk away form him by a couple links, we had the same wheels and tires(dunlop 22/10-9), recently i put on some tires and wheels in the back of my 2005 (basic aluminum wheel, fast trekker 22-11-10). Now we raced again and he walks on me by a couple links.. Is it because it is a inch wider and has more surface area on the ground?
Soon he is getting 22/11-9 tires i wonder who will pull? Also i can tell that his shift point are way faster than mine? We are both running 22in tires? I just dont understand why his is faster? Let me now what you think?

Naturaly with the bigger tires will add up to more weight slowing you down. Even though both your tires are 22" high the wider tire will weigh more slowing you down a bit.
